How
long have you been blogging and what motivated you to start your blog?
I have been blogging for 1 year now and just celebrated my
blogiversary! It was so exciting to make the landmark in my blogging career. My
motivation is honestly my readers/followers, they inspire me every day and
leave me the nicest comments on my photos! Funny enough, my other motivation is
haters. Every time I receive a nasty (and of course, totally anonymous) comment
I always think I must be doing well for someone to take the time out of their
day to vent to me. Either way, I really see it as a win-win. Of course, I
prefer receiving nice comments instead! :)
What
inspires you?
Materials. I am a material girl living in a material world –
for sure. Everything made every single day is such an inspiration to me, I
always wonder what items go together or understand the purpose of a piece of
fashion that may seem to be a “fad”. Other things that inspire me are movies,
the beach, Hollywood glamour, models, books, and of course, my fellow bloggers.
I love to show support for a really great blog and I love to read about things
that I have zero skill in, for instance, a DIY blog awes me since I don’t have
a single my-self-it in me or a really great fashion blogger who always looks
perfect, since that is so not me either.
What
do you like to do on your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to party. And by party, I mean nap.
Or lounge in my onesie with a good book and cup of tea. Seriously, I’m just an
old granny at heart. Home is where my heart is.
What's
your favorite quote or life motto?
“If you work really hard and are kind, amazing things will
happen.” I never, ever, ever, ever want to be the person who totally loses
themselves or forgets where they came from. I am so very blessed from my own
hard work, I reap what I sow and I reap many good things. I truly believe in
staying kind to others. Karma takes over the rest of the way.
How
long have you lived in San Diego? Tell us what you love about SD.
I’ve grown up in San Diego and would never leave it. I love
everything about San Diego; the beach, the sand, the wind, the surf, the
mountains, the dessert, hot springs, waterfall, lake, shopping, glamour, city
life, and the people are soooooo very nice. I live where people vacation, what
can be better than that?
What
advice would you give to others who would like to begin blogging?
Personally,
I am extremely humbled by this question. I have had several other people ask me
for my tips or even a book and I am just amazed! I started with 20 views a day
with 2 likes on social media. Total.
Sometimes
I felt discouraged or that I needed to do something else, but honestly, I just
kept hustling and after attending a lot of events, my name and work started to
become recognized. Never in my wildest dreams would I have readers/followers
internationally like in the Mediterranean or UK! It’s been an amazing ride and
I am not ready to stop, I am excited to write more and it really all goes back
to my life motto “If you work really hard and
are kind, amazing things will happen.”
