Featured Style Blogger: Glamour Mash

Holly from Glamour Mash

How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging since February of 2012... I started with Three Layer Cake but then chose to go in another direction with Glamour Mash, which I describe as "a glamourous mashup of the things I love: fashion, food and design."
What were your main reasons for starting a blog?
I started Glamour Mash because I was in dire need of a creative outlet. I work as a marketing and PR professional, but I realized that something was missing. I was creating original and creative content for my clients but I was not creating and creative content for myself. Glamour Mash has provided me with an outlet to mash up all of my favorite things together and share them with my wonderful readers. It truly is an extension and expression of myself and the things I love.
What inspires you?
Everything! I find inspiration everywhere. But if I had to choose one avenue that gives me the most inspiration, it would have to be the work of my fellow bloggers. I am continually amazed with the original and creative content that the blogging community comes up with. Blogging has given a creative platform and voice to so many women and I am so happy to be among this fabulous and giving community.
What do you like to do on your spare time?
What is this "spare time" you speak of? Just kidding. When I do get some free time, I like to explore my city with my fiancé, Clint. San Diego offers an endless amount of options in terms of cuisine, entertainment and community. I also spend some of my down time knee deep in beads and paint. I have an Etsy Shop called Glamour Mash The Shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/GlamourMash) where I sell handmade jewelry. Oh, and on Saturdays and Sundays, I'm big into brunching. And by "brunching," I mean bottomless mimosas.
How long have you lived in San Diego?  Tell us what you love about SD.
San Diego and I have been in a committed relationship for almost 10 years. I came here for school and never left because I fell in love hardcore with this beautiful city of mine. I've had the pleasure of living in East County, Little Italy, Pacific Beach and now Ocean Beach. I have such pride in my city and I'm proud to tell people where I'm from. And like I said in my previous answer, San Diego just has a boundless amount of things to offer. I have never gone a day without discovering some hidden restaurant, a new club or an amazing piece of coastline that I never knew about before.
What advice would you give to others who would like to begin blogging?
If you have something to say or share, then do it! Blogging brings you into an amazing, supportive, creative community. I've made so many friends and connections and learned so much! It's been a blast and I have no regrets!
