Let the Countdown Begin!

We are only 2 days away from our
2nd San Diego Style Blogger Meet up!!

Both Rachel and I are beyond excited, not only to see our ol' pals from our First Official Meet Up, but to meet all of the new faces that we have connected with or discovered in recent months!

To think that when Rachel and I discussed this idea of bringing SD Style Bloggers to life we could count the bloggers with our hands! Now I feel like we have discovered a gold mine of great bloggers and we are thrilled to get us all together to mingle, network and strengthen our bond as San Diego bloggers.

Just in case you missed it here is the flyer and click here to RSVP (if you haven't already done so)
See you there!

Rachel's Winter Skincare Picks {FACE}

Holiday parties, family gatherings, dinners... so many festive activities upon us during this cheerful season.  Of course with so much "getting together" we'd love to be sure we look our best, but oftentimes the colder weather takes a toll on our skin.  If you're like me, you definitely don't want to lose a bit of summer's glow - especially now during this busy time.  Today I'd like to share with you a few tips and some amazing skincare products that I'm absolutely obsessed with...

1. Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System - This little device is a lifesaver.  I use it 1-2 times per day for a deeper cleansing of my face.  You won't believe the dirt residue on your brush after the first time you use it!  It provides a deeper clean, and since I travel quite often I love how portable it is.

2. Adovia Natural Dead Sea Mud Soap - I just recently started using my clarisonic with this mud soap as a cleanser and I'm amazed!  I actually could see an improvement on blemishes and minor acne spots. Also, it left me skin feeling so soft that I also began using it on my body as well.

3. Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System - I use this as an exfoliator once a day.  It's an absolutely amazing way to scrub away that old dead & dry winter skin and reveal a super soft and refreshed face underneath!

4. Adovia Purifying Mud Mask - I use this mud mask once a week for extra purification and I love it.  With nourishing and demineralizing dead sea water & mud, this miraculous formula leaves skin healthy and glowing.  Plus I love that it only contains natural ingredients... from a pretty awesome source too!

5. Josie Maran Argan Oil - I will never go back to a regular moisturizer again... if you've tried this, most likely you agree with me.  I lather this on my face after cleansing and exfoliating twice a day, morning and night.  I noticed a major improvement in my oily skin, but what's great about this oil?  It's perfect for all skin types.  It may seem pricey but it lasts forever -- a tiny drop of the solution goes a long way!  Honestly I'd love to bathe and swim in this stuff every day. ;)

Well, there you have it.  Hopefully some of my recommendations will help your skin dazzle this holiday season!

xx Rachel

PS. Stay tuned right here for another San Diego Style Bloggers meetup!  We've got a little get-together in the works, so be watching for the date & more details...

Manis at Bellus!

Paulina and I met up for a little manicure date this week, and today we'd love to share with you our experience.  At Bellus Academy, we discovered that highly skilled students provide top quality services with the close supervision of their instructors.  Bellus was also involved in providing hair and makeup for the models at SD Fashion Week!  What I love about Bellus, is their focus on a "spa" experience which creates a soothing and pampering atmosphere for customers to enjoy.  If you are like me, I'm sure you would continue coming back to any salon that goes the extra mile to really give you relaxation... which is really part of the reason we go to salons!  I think this is very important.  At Bellus, Paulina's manicure was with Jasmine and mine was with Stacy at their National City location.  We received hand massages with the most calming almond lotion.  Both Jasmine and Stacy were very informative and took extra time to find out our own needs and desires as well.  Both Paulina and I were all about Fall-inspired colors, of course, as any fashion blogger would be currently!  I chose a deep berry plum and Paulina went with an amazing charcoal grey -- both colors were dark enough to be fitting of the season yet not so dark that we couldn't pair them with several different outfits and in several different settings. (both of us work at places where a super dark nail might be too much)  We loved our new nails, and had a great experience at Bellus.  Be sure to check out their Salon Menu to learn more about their services!
